Plot
Nearly a decade after occupation by an extraterrestrial force, the lives of a Chicago neighborhood on both sides of
the conflict are explored. In a working-class Chicago neighborhood occupied by an alien force for nine years,
increased surveillance and the restriction of civil rights have given rise to an authoritarian system -- and
dissent among the populace.
Trama
Una famiglia cerca di fuggire dalla Chicago occupata dagli alieni ma non ha fortuna e sopravvivono solo i due
giovani fratelli Rafe e Gabriel. Nove anni dopo, nel 2025, Rafe è scomparso, dato per morto si è in realtà unito
alla resistenza, mentre Gabriel lavora a chip di cellulari da cui vengono estratti dati per gli archivi degli
occupanti alieni. Trova il modo di farci su anche qualche soldo sul mercato nero e insieme a un amico prepara una
barca per la fuga dalla città, ma i suoi piani sono stravolti dal ritorno di Rafe e dalle azioni terroristiche
della resistenza. Sulle quali indaga anche il detective William Mulligan, che vuole proteggere il quartiere di
Pilsen dalla rappresaglia aliena.
