Synopsis:
Billy Brown (Vincent Gallo) has just completed a five-year prison sentence for a crime he didn't commit, having taken the fall to pay off a disastrous gambling debt. Traumatized, deeply volatile, and intensely lonely, Billy is desperate to visit his distant, football-obsessed parents—who have no idea he was in prison, believing instead that he has been away working a high-paying government job and has married a wonderful woman named Wendy. Panicking on his way home, Billy kidnaps a young tap dancer named Layla (Christina Ricci) from a local studio, forcing her to pose as his loving wife for the afternoon.
