Plot
The world's leading deception researcher, Dr. Cal Lightman, studies facial expression, body language and tone of
voice to determine when a person is lying and why, which helps law enforcement and government agencies uncover the
truth. But his skills also make it easier for him to deceive others.
Trama
Il professor Carl Lightman è specializzato nel raggiungimento della verità attraverso l'interpretazione delle micro
espressioni del viso e del linguaggio del corpo e riceve incarichi di consulenza per aziende esterne, ma
soprattutto dalla polizia. Ha messo a punto una struttura formata da esperti che lavorano per lui, il Lightman
Group. La serie è ispirata al lavoro di Paul Ekman, il più grande esperto mondiale di espressioni facciali e
professore emerito di psicologia alla Scuola di Medicina di San Francisco dell'Università della California. Il Dr.
Ekman ha lavorato per la polizia e per alcuni gruppi antiterrorismo ed è stato consulente per la realizzazione
della serie.
