Steinberg Dorico 6 is the latest version of the software used across all products in the company's Dorico series. The goal is to speed up and further improve the process from inspiration to finished composition through streamlined workflows.

The new version introduces a key editor in recording mode, simplifying the process of adapting MIDI performances to the score. For a clearer overview, the view is constantly synchronized.

New, powerful MIDI import workflows are designed to intelligently interpret tracks. Furthermore, they can remember user selections for future imports, allowing the user to access them directly.

Insert mode has also been expanded in the new version. For example, an editable stop position is now available. Any changes beyond this point are no longer moved, but directly overwritten.

Steinberg Dorico adds three new on-screen tools: an on-screen keyboard, a fretboard, and drum pads. A suitable touchscreen is also integrated for Windows devices.
