Trama

Cosa fa l'indossatore più famoso del mondo quando si mette in tiro e si prepara ad agire? Sventa un piano diabolico e si trasforma in eroe! Derek Zoolander ha affrontato migliaia di ostinati paparazzi e difeso ilt titolo di "Indossatore dell'anno" per tre anni consecutivi senza scomporsi minimamente. Ora, però, il celeberrimo supermodello dimostrerà di non essere semplicemente uno stallone vestito di pelle di serpente, ma un duro con cui la malavita legata al mondo della moda dovrà fare i conti, dando così ai suoi milioni di fan un'autentica ragione per applaudirlo. Il mondo di Derek Zoolander viene sconvolto quando il modello, convinto di avere già in tasca la quarta vittoria consecutiva come Miglior Indossatore dell'anno, scopre che il riconoscimento è invece destinato ad Hansel, l'elegante rivale. Posto di fronte alla terribile evidenza di non essere più il numero uno, Derek cerca uno scopo nella vita e, ritornando alle sue radici meridionali, si trasferisce nel New Jersey per lavorare in una miniera di carbone insieme al padre e ai fratelli. Ma il padre, che è un operaio, non si dimostra affatto felice di vederlo perchè si vergogna della professione poco virile scelta dal figlio. Respinto dai suoi familiari, Derek fa ritorno a Manhattan, dove l'onnipresenza di Hansel gli risulta insopportabile. Le due star si lanciano dunque in uno scontro a colpi di passerella...
